Beautifully formed performances and artworks invariably conceal the often fraught process of evolution. This symposium invites creative practitioners; Lucy Orta (Professor of Art in the Environment, LCF), Bart Hess (Fellow in Creative Practice, LCF) and Jennifer Irons, to present one or two of their recent projects and to reveal how they have proceeded from the very early stages of an idea to its realisation. They will highlight the importance of drawing in taking an idea from initial note making through to performance in time and space with the moving body. The symposium will be introduced by Charlotte Hodes (Professor in Fine Art, LCF) with the panel discussion chaired by Donatella Barbieri (Senior Research Fellow in Design for Performance).
This event is free to attend but booking is essential - you can register via eventbrite.
