Fashion Together Exhibition / Fashion Space Gallery, JPS, 1st floor
The fashion industry is often seen as the home of eccentric personalities and unique, exceptional talents, but it’s the collaborators, rather than the individuals, who really push the industry forward. Fashion Together, spotlights seven selected duos and showcases the work of individuals from, photographers and filmmakers to designers and milliners. Never-before-seen photographs and sketches sit alongside garments, films, photographic prints and recordings of the pairs in conversation with the curator, Lou Stoppard. The show features collaborations by: Rick Owens and Michèle Lamy, Nick Knight and Daphne Guinness, Shaun Leane and Alexander McQueen, Gareth Pugh and Ruth Hogben and many more. Come along to your Student Hub and chat to Student Services, Academic Support, LCF Careers and Student Enterprise Team about their services during your studies. You can also find out about student wellbeing at UAL. The Student Hub will be open between 11am – 4pm so just pop along throughout the day.

Do you want to change industry for the better? Come along to meet other students and talk about the amazing work of UAL students and alumni in this area. We’ll hear about how you can get involved through your course, competitions, beekeeping, natural dye workshops, the Centre for Sustainable Fashion and loads more, so that you can get the skills to stand out as a sustainability literate graduate.

Design Tower Challenge / JPS, 606 6th floor
Ever wanted to leave your mark on the London skyline? Work together to create the future of architecture and challenge the Shard for the title of UK’s tallest building. A competition to design the tallest tower using some very unusual materials! Prizes will be given out to the teams who not only break boundaries in height but also style and function.
There are also school welcome events taking place on Friday 29 September for the School of Media and Communication and School of Design Technology at LCF. For your school/course event location and time, please refer to your timetable. The Fresher's Fair for all UAL students is taking place on Saturday 30 September and will be held at Central Saint Martins.
